I am not sure if this is the right section for this. Maybe Nobby should make another section about monetizing your site. ----- Read my update at the bottom of this post.I found a small ad company located in India, called Sampurn Ads, that has CPM ads available and no minimum number of daily impressions needed for publishers, and they let you place their code on as many sites as you want. This is what they are paying out per 1000 impressions: CPM Banner 120 X 240 $ 0.46 CPM Banner 160 X 600 $ 0.92 CPM Banner 300 X 250 $ 0.92 CPM Banner 728 X 90 $ 0.92 They will pay in $USD to your paypal account, once you hit the $50 earnings mark. They don't have many customers yet, and their ads are targeted mainly to Indian visitors, but you could place their CPM banners at the bottom of every page of every site you have, and make money whether anyone clicks or not, so it might be a good deal for making a bit of extra cash, especially if you have a lot of traffic, or place it on a lot of sites. I wouldn't bother with their pay-per-click ads (CPC paying $0.16 per click), unless you had a lot of Indian traffic hitting your sites, and they were of the type that likes to travel, since their biggest client is FundooTrip.com (a travel company located in India). UPDATE May 6, 2008: Don't bother with this company. I don't think they will be in business much longer with the way they treat their publishers. They have eliminated all but one of the CPM ads, their site doesn't work right, earnings calculations don't add up right (lower than they should be...someone there doesn't know basic math), and total earnings doesn't get credited at all (they show in your list, but the main display always says $0.000000), Not only that, but anything I made off the CPM ads I had, was erased when they removed those ads from the "available ads" list, as if they never existed. And they don't respond to any communications. My first message to them was to ask where their privacy policy is listed, so I could include a link to it in my site's privacy policy. They ignored it. I also messaged them to report that the total earnings display wasn't working...that was ignored too. When my earnings & ads disappeared, my last communication was to tell them goodbye (and why), and give them a bit of advice on how to properly run their business, warning them that if they continue treating their publishers this way, they won't have any sites for their advertisers to display banners on. I have removed their code from all of my sites.

huh, shame April, you might want to remove their links also though.
Which of your sites did you wish to use the ads on? How many pages do you have on that site and what kinda split of pagerank across those pages?

I was primarily interested for one particular site.
It's a wordpress driven site that keeps growing as I keep adding posts to it. It currently has about 60-70 entries. Goal is to have around 500 before I feel like I am caught up with the backlog of crap that needs to be added, since I changed the layout. It used to be a single page of book titles & links. It now has a description for each book, and other info.
Page rank is a bit odd since it has 2 domain names and one can't be indexed for content...
One being a long established .tk that has appeared on the front page of digg and has more one-way inbound links than you can shake a stick at, all over the place, on every social bookmarking site that exists, forums, other blogs, etc. It had a PR of 4, holds top spot on a number of great keyword phrases, but it seems google may have dropped the PR on it recently. (I think all .tk are being smacked down since the launch of .tk's tikilink program)
The other URL (hasn't been around that long) which can be fully indexed, has a PR3, already, and I expect that to go up as I add more pages.
Monthly traffic looks like this: 1,923 visits 5,273 page views 350 unique visitors 42.69% bounce rate
This might not be accurate due to the .tk url being reported as a referral, even if it's a search engine hit: 51.95% from search engines 41.86% from referrals
top countries (the top 2 never change, but the rest differ from week to week): 1. United States 2. India (this is why I was thinking ads that cater to indians) 3. Canada 4. Australia 5. South Africa 6. Brazil 7. Philippines 8. Italy 9. Bangladesh 10. Egypt
Adsense does quite well on the site, since most traffic is hit & run info seekers.
CPD ads are not doing as well (2 ads for a combined $0.04 a day), since they aren't targeted, and people that bid on them don't have any sense in their heads to advertise on a site that matches their product. I have people trying to sell blooming teabags and hand made earrings in my ad box on a geeky book site! (CPD is much better for a social site with a loyal following like comics or traditional blog) I have been taking advantage of the empty space on geek sites that have CPD and no minimum bid (bidding $0.00 and winning for a 2 day placement)
I figured CPM would be ok, if I could find something...get paid just for displaying it, if visitors click or not.

app wrote: if I could find something...get paid just for displaying it, if visitors click or not. I think i have the perfect thing for you, its something i am currently experimenting with. You basically offer your site for ads, you get paid just for displaying them, rates depend on pagerank, quantity of ads displayed (max is 4 per page) & number of pages on your site. Now, heres the hook, the links are do-follow html links rather than java, hence, as much as you are selling ads, you are offering links. You can make a fair bit of cash, on top of that, you can use the credit you earn to place ads yourself on high page rank sites, which in turn improve your pr and indeed earnings. I guess if you use it smart, you can create a snowball effect! Anyway, see what you think, there is an income calculator on the left of the homepage: http://www.tnx.netI am going to run a couple of campaigns on it, as soon as i finish off a couple of larger sites i am working on, hopefully i will be able to get the snow ball running!

That might be good after I buy the .tk domain name and it can behave like a normal one and can be spidered for content, rather than loading in a frame, but not really until then. Maybe at the end of this year, when I can spare the cash to pay for 9-10 years.
Finances are really tight here right now, with everyone in the family out of work. We can't afford to spare the cash for anything beyond the basic necessities (rent, food, etc...and I am sick of spaghetti). My adsense check that I had planned on buying the domain name with, will have to go towards paying for my internet, instead.
Keep me posted on how well your experiments turn out. I'd really like to know, and what type of sites you are most successful with it. I do have more than one type of site with different types of traffic (I have about 20 sites now, and about to launch something really big, very soon, that can quickly double that number, and offer a lot of some really great targeted ad space). Some sites are small crowds of loyal regular followers, and some are info seekers from search engines...and I know different types of ads perform better on both of those site types, and some won't do well on the wrong type of site.

I will let you know how things go, i am creating 2 sites with adsense, but more targeted at trying out the ad/links system, i will let you know how it goes as i get used to the system.
If you need to raise a little cash fairly quickly, you could (so long as your very descreet) sell a little links space on your pr4 site, i think it would be fairly easy to make a few hundred $$'s pretty quickly. I have a couple of ideas as to how you could do this, pm me if you want the info.
Don't see you around on msn anymore, you not using it much?
