Last week my parents called me to ask me why their PC was taking 20mins to boot, and up to 8 mins to open a document, so i went round and took a look at it. After a look over the pc, i found a number of suspicious looking shortcuts, including XP Antivirus 2008 and a number of others, i also found what 'looked' at first glance to be system popups, ofc they werent, turned out to be a little nasty called Virus heat.
A little research showed a number of rather lengthy manual removal process, hardly newbie friendly, and less than fun. Anyway, after a little bit of research and a little bit of a squabble to get the infected pc open in Safemode with networking, i was able to download and run this rathe handy tool, 5mins later, all cleaned out and running fine again!
