Anyone know what LSA Shell (Export Version) is, and why Zonealarm keeps asking me if I want it to connect to the internet?

I have now set Zonealarm to block each attempt LAS makes to act as a server or connect to the internet.

I have googled this problem and all I keep reading about is a sasser virus, which im pretty sure I don’t have.
Other sites talk about LSA Shell in a way that only someone with a degree in math would understand.

Cheers

Thanks for that.

Actualy that is just one of the sites I am refering to that make no sense.

Not one single part of that site makes mention to the question I asked in google. What is LSA Shell (Export Version)?

Also, sasser is old news isnt it? I run my antivisus software and its kept up to date and it hasnt picked up on this virus being on my computer.

Apart from all that, I have to refer back to my original questions:-

Debaser,
Are you running a prog named Benign (B9)? It's an e-mail scanner. If so this could be the root of your problem. A cure for this is to go to Symantec and download a tool name "Stinger", this should help to solve your prob. B9 conflicts with ZA Pro on some WindowsXP machines. Best of luck to ya, bud.

:)

Thanks

The thing is, since I blocked it with zonealarm I no longer have any problems.

You may now wonder what im fussing about.
I just want to know what it is I have actually stopped from acting as a server and accessing the net.

Hey Debasser

Try here http://www.pandasoftware.com/ use the active scan on the bottom left of the screen its free and i have always found it to be a class above any other AV, it will also pick up a whole host of other nasties. Worth a go.
