The problem isn't the Mexicans taking jobs. The problem is that the Mexican government oppresses it's people. Who can blame a man for illegally crossing the border in order to make more money and give his family a better life? If his own government won't do a thing to improve the living conditions in Mexico why shouldn't he be allowed by our government to obtain some sort of temporary work permit in order to help his family survive? I personally don't approve of borders I believe that North America should be open from the Polar Cap to the Panama Canal. People should be allowed free passage between countries and able to travel freely as they wish. I think some type of worker permit card (much like a Social Security Card or Social Insurance Card) could be used to keep track of taxes owed to the various governments involved. America is the land of opportunity, what kind of people are we if we stand idley by and allow our neighbors to the south to suffer poverty and need?

With about $5000 US, in one of those small interior villages in Mexico, one can live like a king and act like they own the village...and the locals will treat you like gold, hoping you will hire them and toss them some US cash.

Based on this, I say we do to Mexico what they did to us...invade.

We can make our money here, and instead of retiring to FL, we all can go to Mexico!

Only prob is see is being able to bring enough water to last the rest of our lives. (you don't want to drink theirs)

What you say is true, app. The more prosperous areas of Mexico are the areas most visited by tourists and retirees. Those areas have better health care, are cleaner, and have a higher standard of living than the villiages in the interior of the country. There are places in Mexico that have barely entered the 20th century while the rest of the world lives in the 21st. Mexico is a country that is rich in natural resources, with proper management, public education for all, and a workforce that enjoyed a fair wage, Mexico could emerge as a world power. Sadly, with it's present government, Mexico is destined to be, at best, a third world country.

We don't invade any country that doesn't already have the oil pumping for us. We don't want to have to find & drill for it, like they have to do in Texas.

Mexico seems to follow the same train of thought...they have been invading Texas for as long as I can remember...

Oh come now App, if you invade Mexico think of the benifits:

#1 A nice new holiday resort for fat Americans
#2 You could send DR down there.
#3 You could close the border from the Mexican side.
#4 Its not far to pump the oil
#5 Plenty of cheap local labour

It all adds up, watch out Mexico, the Yanks are coming!!!!!!!!!!

Now that I think about it...

We did invade Mexico already.

All we got was Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, and California, and it was hell getting that.
