well no that couldn't be right because i have a hard drive full of half completed files, i tried to play them ok and they play fine and are the right movie just incomplete as they didn't finish before my winmx stopped logging in. now when i log in after installation i cannot find them again to complete their downloads.
do you get more of a range or selection if you enter more servers into winmx so it has more of a range to search from? Also if I do a search should it be winmx peer network or all available networks...

one more thing I'm having issues with. I tried to install the new mx pie and auto updater etc. It all installs fiine. However, I cannot seem to re-open winmx itself again once I've closed it for any reason. Although i can set winmx to start up when i boot up, i can't actually manually locate it to start winmx itself anymore with the new version. I looked under program files in the C: and can't even see a directory anymore for winmx with this new version... help please?

u only search using "All Availible Networks" if u use open nap. to add open nap servers Click on "Networks" then "OpenNap Protocal Networks" then click on "Find .WSX" this will allow u to search for nap servers.

as for the incompletes not re appearing could be due to the fact that r rare files and the users who have that file are not online.

and just do a search to find winmx

Winmx is most likely located by:

Start > My computer >> Local Disck (C) >> Program files >> Winmx

Inside the folder you will see the winmx icon. simply right click it, and select "send to: desktop (create a shortcut)"

The shortcut will then appear on your desktop.

When your looking for rare files it sometimes helps to try searching at different times of the day/night depending on where the users are most likely to come from you may find they are online different times/times zones to you.
