Nobby, I did disable my av for d/l and install. Also ran virus check on the updater prior to install - it's clean.

When I execute the exe. file the install window pops open and it says it's installing Turbo Tax - It's Deductible 2006 (which I do have installed) and all the prompts are for TT and one even requests I put in a disc (which I don't have) etc .. but in the end the two Updater icons do appear in my tray! I right click & do manual update but then get the error mssg " make sure internet connection avail - the file's not read-only & Path not found!

Anyone have any more thoughts or suggestions? :bounce:

Conflict tween Turbo Tax & Updater resolved. Pie Auto Updater installed. BUT, I can't perform "Manual Update Now" and receive the following Error Mssg:

"Please make sure there is an internet connection & file not marked read-only - path not found"

WinMX 3.54 is installed but will not connect.

All d/l & installs performed with new clean copies & AV disabled.

I followed Port Forward.com guides for port forwarding and static IP address for router and I believe I've everything right BUT obviously something is wrong and I don't know what. :study:
