This has to be my favourite addon for Mozilla to date

Quote:
Seoquake is a powerful tool for Mozilla Firefox and for Internet Explorer, aimed at helping web masters who deal with search engine optimization and internet promotion of web sites. Seoquake allows user to obtain and investigate many important SEO parameters of the internet project under study on the fly

The above image is the display setting i've picked personally with the addon set to automatically import the results, as you can see thats how your search results are displayed theres a slight pause of maybe a second whilst the results are compiled. below is a shot of the toolbar you get whilst on sites.

Each result in the toolbars also a button which links to the related tools results page has no noticeable effect of your browsing. Finaly my favourite part of the addon, which you have to opt to install. When you hold your cursor over a link for a second it gives a popup showing results for that link.

Whilst it looks like a good addon, the reviews didnt seem too complimentary, which would be a huge concern considering the nature of the item:

INCLUDES SPYWARE! If you use this, it will crawl all your sties looking for your google adsense PID and sell the data on AdsSpy.com. Your PID It will show AdsSpy: xxALLxx sites by this AdSense ID above your adsense site xxALLxx = all your adsense sites on the web! Totally spyware! i hope mozille removes this from this site.

This add-on is dangerous! Google may block you, as written at http://www.google.com/support/bin/answe ... 1&#helpful "Sending automated queries of any sort to Google is against our Terms of Service [...] Note that "sending automated queries" includes, among other things [...] using any software which sends queries to Google to determine how a website or webpage "ranks" on Google for various queries;" Google threw me out (= every search resulted in a 403 error page) after a few minutes of using this add-on

I definatly think anyone considering using this needs to dig deep and ensure they are satisfied its safe to use. Shame as the features look good.

Thankyou man read the link you posted and have decided to disable the Addon for now, it's simply not worth the risk of being banned by Google. I will keep an eye on the Addon and maybe Email Google support myself to see if they can make their explanation a little clearer, they dont like automated requests so i'm wondering if the Addon could be used in the manual setting to request info only on sites of interest .. :argue:
