But what happen if my cat clicks on my AdSense ad? He likes to sleep on the table where I am working and sometimes do what some cats usually do – play with the mouse and keyboard.

I was inspired to post this after I read Philipp Lenssen discussion about clicking own AdSense at Google Blogoscoped. His response to the AdSense clicker cats phenomena is as follows

It does raise a question though, could i transfer my adsense account into my Cats name, and then click the ads myself?

I have never seen an Adsense ad for "Cheap Nuclear Weapons" on any site, let alone one of mine...so I seriously doubt I could get my cat to click any.

Besides, if he did find and click an ad like that, we'd all be in serious trouble. He is the type of cat that would actually use them. He has expressed a serious intent to enslave the entire human race to do his bidding, which is mainly to bring him a never ending supply of his favorite food. Since it is not required to have that many people on the planet to accomplish that job, the rest of us will be eliminated in order to terrorize the ones he allows to remain living, to serve him. Of course he will also keep a reserve of humans for the sole purpose of entertaining himself by hunting them for sport.

Now training my husband to click ads would most likely be safer for all of us, but it might be another 50 years before I can train him to the point where he can check his AOL email by himself. It would probably be an additional 25 years to teach him to click a premade shortcut to one of my sites. And the likelihood of him driving me to shoot myself, in the process, is quite high.

Nah...I'll just keep working on content and marketing to drive traffic to my sites, and hope for the best.

I have begun training my 2 cats, however they seem a little un-interested, so to intice them in, i have tried smearing cat food on the computer, so far i have trashed 4 laptops some £2000, these cats are really gonna have to click to cover this! :thumbleft:

Try a touch screen cleaned with tuna juice instead of glass cleaner. Maybe they will click some ads while licking the screen.

Well by the sounds of it my cat (Rocky) really isn't pulling his weight in this household. :thumbleft:

Here's me making a measly few cents a day while Rocky just lounges around leaving fur everywhere.

In all honesty though, if he was smart enough to click ads I would have to teach him to do some promotion for me while I'm at work.
